Myocardial Mastery is built for clinicians who want real clinical competence, not recycled textbook slides. My courses cut straight to what matters at the bedside — hemodynamics, cardiogenic shock, post-op cardiac care, ECMO, MCS, and the advanced decision-making skills you’re expected to have but rarely taught well.

Students learn by seeing the why behind the numbers, waveforms, medications, and interventions, with explanations that make complex concepts finally click- in fun and relatable ways. Everything is designed by a CVICU educator who has lived at the bedside, precepted countless nurses, and built real-world programs.

This is for anyone looking to gain confidence, walk into high-acuity situations with clarity instead of guesswork...and really do the work of keeping these patients safe. If you want training that’s practical, accurate, and immediately usable in patient care, this is where you’ll get it.

KAREN BATTISTONI RN, CCRN-CSC-CMC, CHFN, CVRN-BC

I'm an adult CV and critical care nurse with 15 years of experience in this space—including more than a decade at the bedside in the famed Texas Medical Center. I spent those years caring for some of the highest-acuity cardiac patients in the country and helped build my hospital's LVAD, transplant, and ECMO programs from the ground up.

My background includes all manner of advanced heart failure management—from simple medical management on a PA catheter to vented, open-chested mechanical support on CRRT and 15 drips etc! I've done recovery of everything from minimally invasive valve procedures to complex aortic surgery—simple CABGs to multi-procedural, OHT, OLT and VAD placement. I'm experienced with IABP, Impella devices, HeartWare and HeartMate LVADs, TandemHeart, VA/VV ECMO, CentriMag, Hemolung, and all major titratable drips used in critical care.

At the bedside, I loved the work and treated every interaction as a chance to learn, to teach, and to bring dignity and clarity to difficult moments. I enjoyed it so much that when I had the opportunity to create my own content and begin teaching, I carried that same approach forward. Over the past five years, I've reached more than 1,500 learners across the Texas Medical Center with a style that's practical, honest, and free of the ego and gatekeeping that so often slows a clinician's growth.

My focus is simple: make advanced cardiac nursing understandable, accessible, and empowering so every nurse can build real confidence at the bedside.
